Anthony Almada is the Cofounder ImagiNutrition and manages product development, innovation and clinical research at Seed
Anthony L. Almada manages product development, innovation, and clinical research at Seed with over 40 years of experience in the consumer health industry. His undergraduate training is in Physiology and Nutritional Biochemistry. He obtained his Masters degree in Nutritional Sciences at UC Berkeley, completing a research thesis in antioxidant and exercise biochemistry. In 1990 he created the “thermogenic” category of dietary supplements. In 1992 he co-founded EAS, which introduced creatine monohydrate and evidence-based performance nutrition to most of the world. There he led a strategic human research and innovation program that generated over 15 university-based human studies and two issued patents in the first three years of the company’s history. He was co-founder of a medical food company focused on the prevention of HIV-associated muscle wasting, leveraging the patented technologies he co-invented at EAS. He has collaborated on over 55 university-based clinical trials, ranging from ALS to zinc metabolism in osteoarthritis. He has been an invited presenter at the Federal Trade Commission and the National Institutes of Health and has been quoted in the New York Times, Forbes, and Bloomberg.
